Who: The Cantabile Singers of Kamloops

Ryan is leading the Cantabile Singers of Kamloops in their 12th annual Remembrance Day concert. Since 2011, the choir has brought together the community of Kamloops to remember and honour those affected both directly and indirectly by war and conflict.

The choir will be performing moving choral selections ranging from music written in the the 16th Century to gospel spirituals up to the world premiere of Ryan’s setting of the iconic wartime poem In Flanders Fields. The first half of the concert will be dedicated to musical expressions of grief for those who are no longer with us, shifting to a sense of hope for the future in the second half.
