Instrumentation: Trumpet and MAX/MSP live interactive electronics

This is a structured improvisation for solo trumpet player. The trumpet is performed with a practice mute inserted that has a pickup mic installed in it. The audio output from the mute is then run through MAX/MSP to manipulate the sound of the trumpet in real time. The player is given a collection of pitches to improvise on. These pitches were determined by doing a spectral analysis of a recitation of the words Soliloquy, Electric, and Trumpet.
